12:15-13:45 - Dr Claudia Molnár, MM Publication: The Road to Communication is not paved with grammar-or is it?
During this workshop we shall be examining where our priorities should be placed; communicative competence is much higher on the agenda than accurate production, particularly when it comes to formal assessments. However, that doesn’t mean we need to leave our structures behind, we just need to raise awareness of the more functional use of these structures. Together we’ll look at some effective ways of presenting language that accelerates lexical development and shows learners how they can also do this outside of the classroom.
Claudia has been in ELT for over 20 years, holds a Ph.D in Applied Linguistics, MEd., CELTA, DELTA and PGCE. She is Head of English Language Pedagogy at the University of Pannonia, Hungary and a teacher trainer and ELT consultant for MMPublications, and a freelance author and editor. In her free time Claudia loves spa days and yoga.
12:15-13:45 - Horváth Emese, Hueber Verlag: Wortschatzarbeit im Deutschunterricht, unser Gehirn, unsere Speicherplatte, wie funktioniert das bloß?

Wortschatarbeit im Deutschunterricht ist die Basis der Sprachproduktion. In jeder Fertigkeit Lesen, Schreiben, Hören und Sprechen werden Wörter gebraucht. Wie kann der/die Kursleiter,-in die Kursteilnehmer unterstützen?
Kommen Sie auf diese Reise mit, und erfahren Sie hautnah die Kraft der Wörter! Es werden auch die Zusatzmaterielien vom Hueber Verlag zum Thema Wortschatz vorgestellt und am Ende wartet natürlich ein Freiexemplar auf Sie!
14:00-15:00 - Sipos Piroska: Szókincsfejlesztés
A szókincs fejlesztése nyelvóráink kiemelkedően fontos részét képezi. Tanulóink a tanulás ezen aspektusának sikerességét többnyire különösen számon tartják.
A workshop során röviden áttekintjük mindazokat a tényezőket, amelyek segítenek abban, hogy diákjaink minél hatékonyabban megjegyezzék az általunk tanított szavakat, majd kipróbálunk számos olyan feladatot, amelyek ezen tényezőkre épülnek.
15:15-16:15 - Sipos Piroska: Szóbeli és írásbeli kommunikáció fejlesztése
A második workshop alatt a szóbeli és az írásbeli kommunikáció fejlesztését vesszük górcső alá, elsősorban a diákok körében népszerű és inspirálónak érzett feladatokon keresztül. Emellett áttekintjük mindazokat az elveket, amelyeket sikerrel alkalmazhatunk ezen készségek tanítása során.

12:00-13:00 - Szabó Anett: Van élet a Kahooton is túl?
Néhány kevésbé ismert digitális eszköz segítségével is feldobhatjuk nyelvóráinkat. Ezekből az eszközökből nyújtok ízelítőt a foglalkozáson, majd néhány online felület használatát együtt ki is próbáljuk, hogy a szeptemberi órakezdésre már legyen egy-két kész tananyagunk, amit bevethetünk.
13:15-14:45 - Benedek Péter, Hageni Távegyetem: Tudtad? Német diploma Magyarországról.
A német nyelv elsajátítása során motiváló lehet a lehetőség, hogy a későbbiekben német diplomát szerezzenek a tanulók. A Hageni Távegyetem Németország legnagyobb és egyetlen állami távegyeteme, melyen rugalmas keretek között, otthonról, de bárhonnan a világból elérhető a német diploma 5 karon, alap- és mesterképzésben egyaránt. Az előadás során az egyetemről, a tanulás kereteiről, a beiratkozás feltételeiről és az ösztöndíjas lehetőségekről egyaránt hallhatnak az érdeklődők. A Hageni Távegyetem Budapesti Központja a adminisztratív és szakmai támogatást is nyújt az érdeklődőknek és az egyetem hallgatóinak Magyarországon.
13:15-14:45 - Piukovics Ágnes- Gyurka Noémi: Picking lentils from ashes: How to tailor pronunciation activities from international coursebooks to the needs of Hungarian learners of English
Pronunciation teaching in the Hungarian educational context is often side-lined in favour of focussing on other skills. Drifting away from the long-established neglect pronunciation has been suffering from (which is why it is often referred to as the "Cinderella of ELT"), the benefits of pronunciation teaching and learning have started to gain more recognition in recent times: it has been proved that the inclusion of pronunciation activities helps develop the learners' listening skills and boost their confidence, both of which contribute enormously to successful communication. In practice, however, pronunciation teaching is often equated with "listen and repeat" exercises and learning a few sound segments not found in the learners' L1 (and even that is often restricted to the TH-sounds). Not only are the students likely to find these boring, but there is also a danger of them developing a hostile attitude to pronunciation improvement in general as they will fail to notice the benefits of pronunciation inclusion. We aim to show that when introduced within the frame of communicative language teaching, pronunciation activities can be engaging and motivating alike. Participants attending our workshop will receive practical suggestions on how to select or modify activities to suit the needs of Hungarian learners specifically as well as tips on how to approach a pronunciation activity communicatively. We will also provide them with ready-made materials that they can use in their classes.
A workshop a Nemzeti Kutatási, Fejlesztési és Innovációs Alap Tématerületi Kiválósági Programja által támogatott TKP2020-NKA-11 sz. projekt (Elméleti és Kísérletes Nyelvészet) keretében valósul meg.
